Trenchless Sewer Repair
Twin Cities Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining
We are proud to offer an innovative technology that allows us to repair sewer pipes with minimal impact on the environment. These trenchless sewer repairs incorporate cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, which means rather than digging up your sewer pipes to repair or replace them, we can simply reline the interior of the sewer pipes. Basically, it creates a new pipe inside the old one. The result is a seamless pipe that seals cracks and prevents further corrosion and root intrusion. This method eliminates the need for costly repairs to your yard or landscaping after we’re done.

How Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining Works
To create a new pipe lining, we follow three main steps:
1. The pipes are cleaned to remove any blockages, roots or corrosion.
2. A flexible, resin impregnated liner is pushed, pulled or inverted (blown) into place through existing access points. An internal bladder is inflated, pressing the liner against the pipe wall.
3. The resin cures and the bladder is deflated and removed, leaving behind a clean, seamless pipe within a pipe.
At Gene’s Water & Sewer, we’ve used several systems for sewer pipe lining. We started with Nu Flow. Now, we incorporate UV light to cure the new lining quicker. UV curing allows for faster project completion, which means you can get back to using your pipes sooner!
